Crissy Rock - Comedians
Fast becoming one of Britain's most talked about comediennes life is starting to move at a hectic pace for Crissy Rock.
Starting as a 'stand-up' comedienne in the late 80's, mainly for fun, Crissy soon realised that she had a talent for making people laugh, a talent that was also spotted by BOB MONKHOUSE, when Crissy appeared nation-wide on the BBC Television show Bob Says Opportunity Knocks.
In 1991, following a period of ill health, Crissy bounced back, taking bookings on the pub & club circuit. Within months she was voted runner up in the "Club Comedian of the Year" competition for the Merseyside area.
1992 saw her introduction to Blackpool, she was an instant success. By 1993 her notoriety was spreading to other parts of the country with demand out-pacing the amount of available dates. Be it Blackpool, Newcastle, Birmingham, Leeds, Sheffield, South Wales, London or her native North-West you can guarantee Crissy has a following. By 1994 Crissy was bill-topping at the Central Pier and the famed Blackpool Tower.
She keeps her roots in comedy and is in great demand on the cabaret scene. Crissy is particularly popular on the After Dinner circuit where she is regarded as one of the country's top female speakers.
Crissy currently features heavily in ITVs hit comedy show Benidorm.
