Geoff Parling

Rugby union player who plays for Exeter Chiefs as a lock. Represented England at Under 16s, 18s, 19s & 21 level.

Geoff Parling is a highly respected rugby union player, currently playing as a lock for Exeter Chiefs. After attending Newcastle University, he began his professional career with Newcastle Falcons, where he quickly established himself as a key player. In the 2005–06 season, Geoff became a regular first-team player, earning the prestigious Player’s Player of the Year award. His leadership qualities were evident when he captained Newcastle on several occasions during the 2006–07 season.

Geoff’s talents were recognised on a national level, as he was a runner-up for the Gatorade Performance of the Guinness Premiership Season 2008–09. In 2009, he made the move to Leicester Tigers, where his debut match was against Newcastle Falcons, his former club. He also played in a historic Heineken Cup clash with Benetton Rugby Treviso, as well as a memorable friendly match against South Africa, which saw the Tigers secure a 22–17 victory.

Geoff’s impressive form led to him being called up to the England senior squad in 2012, where he made an immediate impact in the Six Nations. His exceptional line-out performance secured his place as a first-choice lock for England in subsequent victories against France and Ireland.

In January 2015, Geoff signed a two-year deal with Exeter Chiefs, continuing his successful career at the top level of English rugby. As a player and speaker, Geoff brings a wealth of experience and insight into the game, making him an excellent addition to any event.
