Making his international debut in 1996, Colin enjoyed an illustrious 11-year career with Wales, scoring 22 tries and joining an elite group of players to surpass 100 points for the national team. His leadership qualities were recognised in 2003 when he was named captain for the Rugby World Cup, guiding Wales to the quarter-finals and cementing his reputation as a fierce competitor and inspiring leader. He was recalled to the squad for the 2006 Six Nations, once again proving his value at the highest level.
At club level, Colin had an equally impressive career. He turned professional with London Welsh in 1992 before moving to Swansea in 1995, where he enjoyed his most prolific spell. Over 160 appearances and more than 300 points scored made him a standout player for the club. After leaving Swansea, he went on to play for Tarbes, Newcastle Falcons, and Newport Gwent Dragons before retiring in 2009.
