Iconic Liverpool footballer & media personality, voted England's greatest ever left-footed player by readers of The Times.

John began his football career at Watford in 1981 before enjoying a stellar decade at Liverpool, where he played a key role in securing two League Championships and an FA Cup victory.

His arrival on the international stage was marked by a stunning solo goal against Brazil, and he went on to represent England 78 times, scoring 12 goals.
