Lee is a recognised figure in both Bath Rugby and the international rugby scene, with an illustrious career spanning 16 years. Throughout his career, Lee made an impressive 177 Premiership appearances and 268 appearances for Bath, scoring 10 Premiership tries and earning 42 caps for England.

Starting his rugby journey with the Torquay Athletic mini team, Lee’s talent was nurtured at Paignton College and Colston’s School, where he trained under the guidance of Andy Robinson and Alan Martinovic. His career flourished as he represented Devon and played for various England age-group teams. Notably, Lee was a part of the England U18 Schools team that toured Australia in 1997 and played in three World Cup matches for England U21s in New Zealand.
Lee’s career with Bath Rugby began in 1997, and he made an immediate impact, scoring on his first XV debut. After making over 268 appearances for the club, Lee was forced to retire following medical advice related to cardiac screening.
He went on to earn his first England Test cap in 2005 against Samoa, and he represented his country in multiple Six Nations and World Cup matches. In 2012, Lee announced his retirement from international rugby after a successful career.
