Nigel Redman
After retiring Nigel was appointed National Academy Coach, which is part of the main coaching body of the England team.
Nigel, a former England rugby player, made his debut for England at the age of 19 in a match against Australia. Over the course of his distinguished career, he spent 16 years playing for Bath R.F.C., where he achieved an impressive list of accolades, including 10 National Cup Competition Medals, 6 League Winners Medals, and 1 European Cup Winners Medal. Nigel earned 20 caps for England, with his final cap coming 13 years later in another match against Australia.

After retiring from playing, Nigel transitioned into coaching and was appointed as National Academy Coach, becoming an integral part of the England coaching structure. He also spent several years coaching the England Under-19s and Under-20s, working closely with both the senior England squad and future internationals.
Recently, Nigel was appointed to the role of Elite Coach Development Manager, where he continues to shape the future of English rugby by developing the next generation of coaching talent. His vast experience as both a player and a coach has made him a respected figure in the rugby community, with a focus on nurturing young talent and contributing to England’s rugby legacy.
